NC home furniture maker shuts down, lays off hundreds of staff

TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. (QUEEN Town News) — A North Carolina furnishings maker abruptly shut down, laying off hundreds of staff.

According to county officers, Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams opened its headquarters in Alexander County in the late 1980s, sooner or later growing its retail suppliers nationwide.
